Bump update: Week 26


Baby stats: Baby is the size of lettuce, or a bowling pin.

Symptoms:  Can’t say that I’ve felt anything this past week, but that may be because I have been too preoccupied with this heat wave that we have been going through!  Argh!

Total weight gain: Weighed in at 66.8 this morning so + 1.5kg!

Maternity clothes: Only the maternity undies.  Still looking for those summer shorts…

Stretch marks? No new ones and still being really good with hydration and moisturising the belly.

Workouts: Quite a bit of walking this week as well as some stretching and  starting to get into foam rolling.

Diet: Not too bad.  A couple of treats here and there, but all in all ok.  Still need to eat more vege though.

Food cravings: Anything cold!

Gender: Girl 🙂

Labor signs: Um, no….

Belly button in or out? In. My belly button never popped with my last full-term pregnancy, so I’m guessing it won’t this time round either.

Happy or moody most of the time: Definitely moody this week, but that is because of the heat.  Ugh, I cannot believe that I allowed our family to move into another place with NO A/C.  What in the hell was I even thinking??

Bump update: Week 25

Baby stats: Baby is the size of a cauliflower, or a bottle of wine 😉

Symptoms:  Nothing in the past week.  Still tired by about 9pm, but I think that is also due to life.

Total weight gain: 65.6kg this week so 300gms above my starting weight.

Maternity clothes: Just the maternity undies, but nothing else.  Although, I really need to source some shorts for summer.  Not having any luck on anything that doesn’t cost more than $50.  Le sigh.

Stretch marks? No new ones, but feeling the itch on the belly now!  Given that I work from home (I run my own business), I’m oiling up this belly as often as I remember to.  If I can prevent more stretch marks, then I’m going to try my best!

Workouts: A bit of walking, no stretching or booty work though.  Goals for the next week.

Diet: Off the charts a little this week, lots of chocolate, ice cream and ice blocks.  Gotta strip back next week, need more veggies.  Although, my Dr. told me that I need to be putting on more weight!  My husband and I had a good laugh because he was all like “but she eats soo much chocolate!”.  Lol.

Food cravings: Anything cold.  It’s been super hot here in Sydney.

Bump update: Week 24

Bump is starting to really show! Also, i totally forgot to upload this post so this post is a week overdue 😐


Baby stats: We have hit the six month mark!!  Baby is the size of cantaloupe, or a G.I Joe.

Symptoms:  The back and hip pain is still there.  Also, have been super tired lately, unsure if that is due to the pregnancy, the heat or the fact that we moved over the last week?

Total weight gain: Weighed in at 65.4kg so back to my starting weight 🙂  Onwards and upwards from here surely.  If I’m being completely honest, I don’t want to put on too much more weight.. if I can max out at around 70kg by the end of my pregnancy then I’ll be happy.  I reached 75kg at the end of my first pregnancy, and a good 5 kilos of that was just additional fat, so hoping to keep the extra weight to a minimum.

Maternity clothes: Just some maternity underwear that I purchased a couple of weeks ago.  Finding that my regular ones just don’t cut it anymore.

Stretch marks? No new ones.  Although the belly is starting to get itchy so trying my hardest to stay hydrated and to keep this belly moisturised!

Workouts: Some walking, but not a lot else.  We had moved to a 3 level home so I do make regular trips up and down the stairs on the daily.

Diet: Diet has been ok this week.  Might be because we no longer live super convenient to cafe’s, convenience store or even a supermarket.  It has done wonders at lowering my chocolate snack intake.  On the flip side, I have been having a lot of ice blocks because it is just ridiculously hot here at the moment.

Food cravings: Anything cold.

Gender: Girl 🙂

Happy or moody most of the time: Pretty good this week.  Even considering we moved house and spent a shiteload of money.  2nd trimester is great!

Bump update: Week 23

New room! Not sure about that lighting…

Baby stats: Baby is the size of grapefruit, or a Barbie doll.
Symptoms:  No real symptoms this week, although I have been getting weird leg aches.. they feel like growing pains but in my lower calf.  Unsure if this is pregnancy related??.

Total weight gain: Back at my starting weight!  Weighed in at 65.3 this evening (this was just before dinner).  I feel like it will be on the up from here on out 🙂

Maternity clothes: Nope.  And the larger sized clothes I bought the other week are getting tight..  Still trying to source some plain shorts for this summer.. not happening at the moment.  Even ASOS hasn’t come to the party!  Le sigh.

Stretch marks? Still no new ones, but my belly is starting to feel a little itchy so will be carrying oils and lotions around with me in an attempt to not get any.  Given that I grew at a steady pace with my last pregnancy (by this stage I already had a proper baby belly), I’m a little concerned that I will blow up overnight and be covered in marks.  So, here is to drinking lots of water and keeping my belly well moisturised!

Workouts: A bit of walking this week, but probably not enough to counter the quantity of junk food I ate.

Diet: Not so great this week.  Quite a bit of chocolate and quite a bit of takeaways (read: Junk).  Better luck this coming week.

Food cravings: No cravings, but I’ve been indulging in junk and chocolate this week.

Gender: Girl 🙂

Happy or moody most of the time: Not bad considering it has been a challenging week.  The universe must be working with me this week.  Makes for a nice change 🙂

Bump update: Week 22

 

Baby stats: Baby is the size of a papaya, or the length of a Vogue magazine 🙂

Symptoms:  No symptoms this week 🙂

Total weight gain: Gained a little bit of weight… weighed in at 64.8kg so -500gm from my starting weight.

Maternity clothes: Still no maternity clothes.  Getting thicker and thicker around the middle.. but still no proper bump!  le sigh..

Stretch marks? No new ones, although my belly is starting to itch (so it must be growing?!), so I’m making sure I lather this body up in oils and lotions.  And also, trying to drink more water to keep myself hydrated from the inside.

Workouts: Only a bit of walking and stretching this week.  So very inconsistent.  Oh, and I also went for a swim!  Took the toddler down to the pool, plonked him in a blow up thing and then pushed that up and down the pool.  I only managed two laps!  Ugh, I used to be such a strong swimmer, my fitness is definitely at an all time low.  Goals for the week ahead, more walking and more swimming!  Let’s get this fitness level lifted.

Diet: I’m able to eat more at the moment, which is great, but I find I’m eating a bit more junk again.  Gotta keep that crappy food out of my house!

Food cravings: No real cravings, but if I’m hungry I’ll reach for the junk food instead of fruit or vege.  I feel this will be a work in progress for this entire pregnancy.

Happy or moody most of the time: Pretty emotional this week, although I didn’t actually have any kind of meltdown, so winning I guess?

Also, the hubby gave me a day off on Monday, so I took myself out to do some retail therapy on my own and it was bliss!  Well, except for all the food that I decided to treat myself with, that just kind of made me feel sick.  All in all, an ok week.

 

Bump update: Week 21

Still no actual bump yet 😦

Baby stats: Baby is the size of baby bak choy, or a baseball hat (?!).
Symptoms:  The back and hip pain is still there.  Have started feeling nauseous again, wonder if I/the baby is going through some sort of growth spurt as I also feel quite full in my uterus again.

Total weight gain: Lost a bit more weight… weighed in at 64.5kg so -800gm from my starting weight.

Maternity clothes: Still no maternity clothes.  I’m definitely thicker in the middle, but the ‘baby belly’ hasn’t popped out yet.

Stretch marks? No new ones.

Workouts: Quite a bit of walking this week as well as some stretching and one booty session 😉

Diet: Diet has been ok this week.  For some reason, my body is just not handling any food and it umm, kinda just goes straight through me.. (ewww..).  Experimenting with certain foods to see what sticks, but for now I get major stomach cramps whenever I eat which can’t be good 😦

Food cravings: No cravings, but I’d love to keep down what I eat.

Happy or moody most of the time: Pretty good this week.  I mean, up and down, but more up than down 🙂  We got the approval for a bigger place so moving in a couple of weeks which is exciting!  On the downside, my toddler is being ridiculously challenging.. anyone who has any tips on dealing with temper tantrums, your advise is definitely welcome.

 

Bump update: Week 20

Still waiting for this baby to ‘pop’

Baby stats: Baby is the size of a banana, or a paper airplane.  We have reached the half-way mark!!

Symptoms:  Still with the tingling sensations and the back and hip pain.  Although, I am actively trying to manage the aches through exercise and stretching.

Total weight gain: Still -100gm from starting weight weighing in at 65.2kg.

Maternity clothes: I actually went out to H&M today to purchase some maternity shorts for the summer, and the store I went to didn’t stock their maternity range 😦  Settled for some elastic waisted shorts in one size bigger, but they just look odd.  Might take them back..

Stretch marks? Still no new ones.

Workouts: Quite a bit of walking this week as well as some stretching.

Diet: Diet has been ok, with the exception of Halloween where I ate A LOT of chocolate.  Like almost half of what we purchased to hand out to the little ones.

Food cravings: No cravings 🙂

Happy or moody most of the time: Pretty good this week, although my toddler challenges me every single day.  He is as stubborn as his mother!
