Bump update: Week 13

img_5549
That is literally all food bloat! ¬†Still no baby bumpūüė¶

Baby stats: Baby is the size of a peach, or a matchbox car.  Baby is now producing, and more disgustingly, excreting urine.

Symptoms:  No more crazy symptoms.. yay!  I still get tired throughout the day, but not as fatigued as before, just tired more quickly.

Total weight gain:¬†No change from last week. ¬†Although, I’m using a different machine as I’m currently at my parents house.. and their scales are over 10 years old, so who is to say that they even work??

Maternity clothes:¬†Back in the maternity jeans again, but that is because I have come home for a couple of weeks and it’s pretty cold here.

Stretch marks? Still no new ones.  And now making a huge effort to prevent anymore.  Twice a day I slather on coconut oil, a tea tree and rosehip oil blend as well as Vitamin E cream.

Workouts: Absolutely nothing in the last week which bites because I actually feel better t one able to train.¬† I travelled back to New Zealand last Monday and it has been one roadblock after another. ¬†First, my toddler didn’t appreciate the two long flights plus the 6 hour drive. ¬†Then my Mum ended up in hospital and on top of that, the weather has been torrential rain. ¬†Not ideal at all. ¬†Praying for a better week!

Diet:¬†I’m eating more now. ¬†Having proper meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) as well as snacks. ¬†But… since I’ve been home it’s been junk food (again!). ¬†My parents literally do not eat vegetables.. like, what is even up with that?? ¬†Again, praying for a better week this week.

Food cravings:¬†Vegetables.. lol. ¬†Not that I’ve been able to satisfy that. ¬†I went to the supermarket today to buy a bunch of green vege, broccoli, beans, zucchini, and spinach. ¬†This is literally all I want to eat.

Gender:¬†Unknown yet, but thinking boy. ¬†Although if you ask my little nephew, he thinks I’m having a girl.

Labor signs:¬†Um, no….

Belly button in or out?¬†In. My belly button never popped with my last full-term pregnancy, so I’m guessing it won’t this time round either.

Happy or moody most of the time:¬†Emotional, but thankfully not because of the hormones. ¬†It’s just been a roller coaster of a week with family stuff. ¬†Have to say that I’ve dealt with it fairly well so those hormones have finally levelled out! ¬†Yay!

Bump update: Week 12

Baby stats:¬†Baby is the size of an apricot, or one of those little plastic green toy soldiers. ¬†Baby’s digestive system is beginning to work and it’s pituitary glands are producing hormones and their bone marrow is producing white blood cells.. what a busy little bee!

Symptoms:¬†Pregnancy sniffles and extreme thirst. ¬†The fatigue and nausea have almost gone. ¬†Almost…

Total weight gain:¬†-700gm.¬†No change since last weekūüôā

Maternity clothes: No.

Stretch marks? No new ones.

Workouts:¬†I’ve only managed two walks and that’s about it. ¬†I have become soo lazy!!

Diet:¬†Eating is getting better. ¬†Now that I can stomach a wider variety of stuff, I’m making sure I get my veggies in. ¬†I still can’t eat as much as what I used to and I’m still eating junk food. ¬†Determined to cut that out from next week. ¬†Fingers crossed for me.

Food cravings: Still with the junk food although vegetables are back on the menu.. yay!

Gender: Unknown yet.

Labor signs:¬†Um, no….

Belly button in or out?¬†In. My belly button never popped with my last full-term pregnancy, so I’m guessing it won’t this time round either.

Happy or moody most of the time:¬†This was a great week. ¬†One major meltdown last Friday (and it was actually called for, so I’m technically not counting it as pregnancy related), but otherwise feeling great!

Bump update: Week 11

IMAG0036

Baby stats: Baby is the size of a brussels sprout, or a poker chip.  Baby is now fully formed!  A little thumb-sized human now floats inside of me.

Symptoms: Nausea, extreme thirst and tiredness.  The fatigue is not as prominent now, neither is the bloating, thank goodness.  Pregnancy sniffles have begun.

Total weight gain:¬†-700gm.¬†I’ve gained a bit of weight since last week but I’m still less than what I started at. ¬†Not bad considering I had an indulgent weekend away with my bestieūüôā

Maternity clothes: Have stopped wearing the maternity jeans for now as the weather is getting warmer!

Stretch marks? No new ones.

Workouts: Nothing in the last week.

Diet:¬†I had a massive junk food blowout over the last couple of weekends which isn’t great, but funnily enough it is exactly what I’m craving.

Food cravings:¬†Anything¬†junk food at the moment. ¬†My GP says it’s probably because my body is tired so it’s craving the things that it knows will give it instant energy. ¬†Makes sense.

Gender:¬†Unknown yet, starting to feel like maybe it’s a boy? ¬†But could just be wishful thinking.

Labor signs:¬†Um, no….

Belly button in or out?¬†In. My belly button never popped with my last full-term pregnancy, so I’m guessing it won’t this time round either.

Happy or moody most of the time: Pretty great lately.  I feel like my hormones are levelling out.  Thank goodness for that!

Bump update: Week 10

IMAG0033

Baby stats:¬†Baby is the size of a prune, or a lego man. ¬†Baby can now swallow as well as kick and punch it’s little stubby limbs!

Symptoms:¬†Nausea, bloating (big time!), and fatigue. ¬†The nausea is the worst it’s been so far.

Total weight gain: -1.3kg. No change since last week.

Maternity clothes:¬†Yes. ¬†I’ve been wearing my maternity jeans lately because the bloat is making my usual jeans super uncomfortable. ¬†It does make me laugh that I am already wearing maternity clothes.. lol.

Stretch marks? No new ones.

Workouts:¬†I’ve only managed two walks in the last 7 days. The nausea has rendered me incapable of getting off the sofa. ¬†I’m too scared to venture out incase I power chuck in public… not cool.

Diet:¬†I’m eating less¬†in terms of quantity, purely because most food makes me gag. ¬†The only food I can genuinely stomach seems to be junk food. ¬†I should be lapping this up, but I really do just want to eat salads and veggiesūüė¶

Food cravings:¬†No cravings per se, but I can’t really stomach much at the moment so my diet currently consists of cheese toasties, fries, weetbix and chocolate. ¬†Can’t really handle anything else.

Gender:¬†Unknown yet, and no still no inklings. ¬†Husband feels like it’s a boy, however I think he is more wishful thinking than anything intuitive.

Labor signs:¬†Um, no….

Belly button in or out?¬†In. My belly button never popped with my last full-term pregnancy, so I’m guessing it won’t this time round either.

Happy or moody most of the time: Emotionally better this week.  Just the nausea getting to me and keeping me hostage in my own home out of fair of public vomiting.. lol.

Bump update: Week 9

IMAG0025
Sorry if the pic looks different, it’s a new phoneūüôā

Baby stats: Baby is the size of a green olive.  Fingers and toes are no longer webbed and the baby can now hiccup!

Symptoms: Nausea, bloating (big time!), fatigue and still with the extreme thirst.  Major emotional outbursts and breakdowns.

Total weight gain:¬†-1.3kg.¬†I’ve lost weight again, which mentally screws with my head as I know that my midsection is starting to thicken.¬† Weird.

Maternity clothes:¬†Not wearing any no, but I did purchase a pair of maternity jeans!¬† I couldn’t help myself.¬† Shopping is shopping.

Stretch marks? No new ones.

Workouts:¬†I’ve only managed a couple of walks and a HIIT workout in the last 7 days.¬† Again, I’ve allowed my emotions to get the better of me.

Diet:¬†Back on the junk food wagon this week!!¬† I have been completely terrible, and I think I have only eaten one green thing (broccoli)¬†for the entire past 7 days… eeek.

Food cravings: Junk food.¬† In spades.¬† Half of this is emotional eating no doubt, but I’m actually put off by my usual favourites and crips and chocolate seem to be the only things that don’t make me gag.¬† Stupid really.

Gender: Unknown yet, and no still no inklings.

Labor signs:¬†Um, no….

Belly button in or out?¬†In. My belly button never popped with my last full-term pregnancy, so I’m guessing it won’t this time round either.

Happy or moody most of the time: Very, very emotional this week.  Had a massive meltdown the other day which my poor toddler felt the brunt of, so I am actively taking steps to try and reduce any future possible meltdowns.  More exercise, more sleep, more sun and less junk food should do the trick.

Bump update: Week 8

The bloat is back…
Baby stats: Baby is the size of a raspberry, or a half lego brick.  All organs, muscles and nerves are beginning to function.. isn’t that crazy?

Symptoms: Nausea, bloating (big time!), fatigue and still with the extreme thirst.  Breathlessness is back.

Total weight gain: -800gm. I’ve gained 200gm since last week but I’m still less than what I started at.  Beginning to think that this is not going to last long from here on out.

Maternity clothes: No.

Stretch marks? No new ones.

Workouts: I’ve only managed two walks and two core and butt workouts in the last 7 days. I’ve allowed my emotions to get the better of me.

Diet: I’m eating less than I was last week, however it’s more junk food than nutrient dense stuff.  Again, I’ve allowed my emotions to win this week.

Food cravings: Chips! (or potato crisps, depending on where you are from).  Like I generally like chips, but I’ve been craving these like crazy.  Actually, junk food in general has been taking over the cravings.  I feel like my body just needs more energy so it’s craving foods that will give it the ‘quick hit’.

Gender: Unknown yet, and no still no inklings.

Labor signs: Um, no….

Belly button in or out? In. My belly button never popped with my last full-term pregnancy, so I’m guessing it won’t this time round either.

Happy or moody most of the time: Very emotional this week.  A lot happened, our little boy ended up in hospital over the weekend, I lost out on a business deal that I really, really wanted, and I’ve been eating shite, so nothing has really worked out for the last 7 days.  Here is hoping the next 7 are better!

Bump update: Week 7

Still just a food baby…

Baby stats: Baby is the size of a blueberry, or a playing die.  Little eyelids are forming as are the beginnings of fingers and toes!

Symptoms: Nausea, bloating and still with the extreme thirst.  Fatigue has also kicked in.

Total weight gain: -1kg. No change on last week surprisingly.

Maternity clothes: No.

Stretch marks? No new ones.

Workouts: I’ve managed a walk every other day, and I’ll do a core and butt workout every now and then, but nothing consistent.

Diet: Portions game has evened up a bit, but I’m not eating as healthy as I would like.

Food cravings: No cravings in particular, but foods I usually have an aversion to are starting to smell nice!  I go on and off with peanut butter, more off than on, but lately when I have it, it’s delicious!!  Also, I absolutely despise cucumber, but it’s been smelling attractive lately!  Not game enough to try it yet though.

Gender: Unknown yet, and no still no inklings.

Labor signs: Um, no….

Belly button in or out? In. My belly button never popped with my last full-term pregnancy, so I’m guessing it won’t this time round either.

Happy or moody most of the time: Pretty emotional this week :(  My husband has to remind me that I’m not psycho and that it’s the pregnancy hormones.  Doesn’t help really because I still feel like a really crazy person.
